Boing boing

Drew's thing lately when I try to burp him over my shoulder is to try and stand up (actually, I told you about that a while ago). He's getting pretty good at it these days needing only a hand or two to balance him. He also likes to try to "jump". He bounces up and down on his little chunky legs and nearly knocks himself out on my chin.

So, seeing a need to be filled, and seeing as he's pretty adept at sitting on his own now...

I figured it was time to pull this sucker out of the closet.

I tried it a few weeks ago but it was kind of a flop. Actually, Drew kind of flopped. So I guessed he wasn't quite ready. But with all the "standing," jumping and bouncing lately it seemed like it was worth another try.

Here's a video of him in the actual bouncy one (yes, there are two- one's a walker that doesn't bounce, the other bounces but doesn't move. We probably don't need to use the walker quite yet, but it was the first one I pulled out. Also, yes, that is a Wii balance board beneath him. Even on the lowest setting his feet didn't quite touch the floor and according to the instructions they're not supposed to dangle.)

That mirror is still rather captivating, isn't it? But then, if you looked that good, you probably wouldn't be able to stop staring either! ;)
